Climate change is the greatest global challenge of this generation. To face the climate emergency, Europe and France have launched their 2030 mandates, aiming to accelerate the ecological & energy transition, to massively reduce carbon emissions.

Renewable energies are essential for our future. Wind and solar power have made welcome contributions in reducing reliance on fossil fuels, however the sun doesn't always shine and the wind doesn't always blow. We need new, predictable large scale sources of renewable energy to supplement the energy mix.

Tidal energy remains an untapped renewable energy source, which represents a huge opportunity for the Europe & France 2030 plan, with significant economic, environmental and social benefits.

We are convinced of the potential of tidal power in France and around the world. This is why Normandie Hydroliennes (NH) is committed to developing projects that will promote the commercial deployment of the marine renewable energy sector.

As a leading developer of tidal energy projects, we convert the natural, sustainable energy of ocean currents into clean, secure electricity

We are currently developing the NH1 pilot array project in the Raz Blanchard, at the heart of one of the most energetic tidal sites in the world.

The array will feature AR3000 turbines, the largest and most powerful single axis turbine to date

Normandie Hydroliennes is partnered with Proteus Marine Renewables, a dedicated champion of the tidal energy sector who has developed its AR series generation systems that incorporate high performance, reliable and innovative technology

We are working with a French network of experts and are committed to prioritising local content, in particular using locally available infrastructure, to support the development of the project

We are committed to the deployment of commercial tidal energy in France; energise coastal communities and local supply chain; and improve the life of our citizens, by providing clean and viable energy to the world of tomorrow.
